Out of stock
This awesome Supertone Guitar features all solid woods with a solid spruce top with rope purfling and rosette, Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard on solid beautiful Rosewood back and sides, fully bound body with fancy purfling at back center seam, Fixed Steel tailpiece with the original bridge spacers, Wood nut and slotted headstock with original brass plate tuners.
This ladder braced guitar sounds incredible with a lot of warmth and volume. It has a 1-13/16" wide nut, so it's fantastic for fingerpicking. It has a 12 fret to the body neck with a 24" "Harmony" scale length Neck, 12-3/4' lower bout with a 37" total length. The nicely rounded C shaped neck profile is great, easy to get your hands around and not as thick as the V necks from the era. This was made before Harmony Co. procured the Supertone brand, which dates it to the mid/late 20s to the early 30s.
This cool Parlor Guitar has been restored to excellent playing condition with a Full off neck reset, light fret dressing .. Great action on this guitar. You may even want to raise the action a little. No sore fingers with this guitar. There are dings overall and a lot of finish crazing.. It even has the original Supertone Label inside the soundhole..see pic 13.. It's a surviver with no top cracks or major damage after nearly 90 years and has been restored to play great once again. What a beautiful powerful sound this guitar makes. I love it…
Be sure to check out the the pics of the original Softshell Canvas Case. Even the closure works on this one. Original Leather handle that will need some work...one latch attachment is glued together. It will need a proper repair by the new owner...see pic 14... This cool original case still protects this beautiful guitar even today.
Now this little guitar is beautiful but used and vintage so its sold as-is no returns..however, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for close to 20 years now and they have all loved the guitars I found for them. This beautiful Supertone will certainly not be an exception.
Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
