Today Lawman Guitars is Presenting …
A really cool, and rare, Made in Japan Guitar. A 1977 Ibanez Model 2603 Artist Guitar with the original Hard Shell case. This beautiful guitar is in great shape and has been professionally setup for playing pleasure. No cracks and the woods have mellowed over the years to give you a beautiful lushness to the finish that only time can bring.
These cool Dreadnought guitars from Japan were made from 1973 through 1978. We identified this one as a 1977 from the date stamp of B771297. That is found inside the sound hole on the neck block.
This cool guitar is completely original and in great shape. A Dreadnought size with a 16 inch lower bout, this guitar has a booming voice when needed but can sound so sweet when finger picked! This cool guitar has a full 4 3/4 inch deep body, a 25.5 scale neck and the nut is 1 3/4 inch wide. You finger pickers will like this one..
This guitar has plenty of bling for your Pro Stage Players... Check out the inlaid bridge, fancy original Pick guard and what about those cool star block inlays for fret markers. Very fancy...It also has the original high quality Ibanez Star enclosed Tuners that still work as they should.
The guitar is in very good condition considering its age. It was played not put away so it has various superficial dings and scratches. Nothing of any not and certainly no body cracks. Happy to report the original owner did not install an extra strap button on the neck. This guitar should have a proper head stock strap to be vintage correct! Just like Elvis! LOL...
Jeff the Tech set it up with new Phosphorus Bronze Strings with awesome playing low action. I was thrilled when I got it back. It plays great now. No sore fingers with this one! I have never seen one of these and was very happy to acquire this one for my customers. It’s a great guitar.
It still has the original Hard Shell Case. The case is in good shape, one latch doesn't work and I had to add a replacement handle. The gold interior is in good shape, no moisture damage or funny odors. The accessory box is still working and even the back restraint strap is still here. This cool case is still protecting this awesome guitar as it should!
Sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for close to 20 years now and they all have loved the guitars I found for them. This beauty will certainly not be an exception.
Thanks for checking out our cool guitars...
