Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..

A really cool Prewar, 1939 Seven Seas Parlor Slot Head Guitar. Its made by Harmony of Chicago IL. It is all original and is really cool! Very , very RARE to find one of these! They only made them in Greenburst in 1939. In 1940, they went to a red brownburst with the same Hawaiian Scene.

We dated this guitar from the S-39 stamping inside the sound hole. Spring 1939. See pic 10. The earliest Harmony catalog we have access to is 1940 which shows the guitar in the reddish brown sunburst color. Very very rare guitar!!

If you have been following my Shop, you know by now I sell a lot of these cool Cowboy or Stenciled Scene Guitars. I have lots of them hanging on the wall of my shop and most are unplayable. This one however is not only playable, it has excellent playing action. Jeff the Tech did a fantastic neck off reset of this guitar to now give it… Great playing action... No sore fingers with this one. This is the perfect campfire guitar or to hang on your wall. I just hope someone gets this one to play it. Its playable American History! Most of these are hung on the wall anyway and the front of the guitar is awesome. We cleaned it up and its nice and shiny!! Check those pics! Love the Greenburst!

The parts are all Harmony made and original. It has the Waverly Harmony Tuners, Black Tuner buttons, Original Wood nut, Harmony tailpiece bridge. You can see a pic of one of these in an page from the 1940 Harmony Catalog.. See pic 13…

It has some dings, scratches. All honest wear. It looks cool and is structurally sound now. Excellent shape for 1939...

Check out the case we got with this guitar. Its not from the 1930’s but rather the 1950’s. I would guess the original case got upgraded in the 1950’s to this cool case. Its in really great condition. All latches, hinges and original handle are still here and working properly. It even still has the accessory box inside the case with the lid still attatched!! Check those pics!

Some lucky buyer is going to be really happy they got this cool Hawaiian Scene guitar. They don't come up often and sell quickly when they do. It is sold as-is no returns as it vintage and used..However, I have been hand-picking my customers guitars over 20 years now and we have had nothing but happy customers. This cool Slot Head Guitar will not be an exception.

Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
