Only 1 available

Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..
A fantastic 1951 Gibson ES 125 with original vintage correct Softshell Case..
You are probably more used to seeing ES 125 guitars with a T designation. The T stands for thinline. You will also notice this one is not a thinline. It’s the much more RARE Thick model ES 125 with the incredible Gibson P90 Pickups.….The 3 ½ inch Thick body is just incredible. Really thick sound from this guitar versus the thin bodies we are used to seeing. For every few dozen of the the thin models, they made a thick one. These are very very rare to find.
We identified the guitar as a 1951 from several details..
1. The FON or Factory Order Number inside the F Hole has a 9,000 number. That makes it a 1951. In 1952 the had a Letter before the number.
2. The Single Line Kluson Tuners also indicate an earlier model.
3. The previous owner told us it was a 1951!
This awesome guitar is mostly original… Heres what is original on this guitar…
The Body, Neck, Tuners, Truss Rod Cover, Nut, P90 Pickup, Pickguard, Bridge and frets.
We are unsure of the knobs...they look correct but we'll let you be the judge. We also looked at the wiring harness. We didn't take it out but could not be conclusive for the pots. They look correct and it has the correct wiring and cap. The pickguard screw was missing..we replaced that..LOL...
The neck angle is great. It plays with great awesome action. No sore fingers playing this beauty... It plays as nicely as any Gibson we have had! Check those pics..
So this guitar is not a museum piece. It has some player dings and scratches. No cracks or breaks however.... It is truly a tone machine. The P90 Pickup is full of tone..Fat and loud and very musical. Great harmonics between the fat body and the P90. I have played these Gibson guitars for over 55 years now and I love ES125’s. I had one as my second electric guitar. I love them. This one has the fatter 1950’s neck. 1 11/16’s inch nut and the neck is fat and feels great in the hand. Not like the skinnier 1960’s necks.
Check out that original case. Its beatup but very cool and all there. Only missing the accessory box lid… Nice Lizard like tolex, all latches work, hinges present and the original handle is still operating .. The case alone will get you looks! It looks really cool!!!
Great guitar but sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for over 20 years now and they have loved the guitars I found them. The cool Gibson guitar will certainly not be an exception. Check it out!
Thanks for looking at our cool guitars.
