Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..

A 1952 Gibson Natural J50 Guitar with the equally awesome Original Gibson Soft Shell Case. Buying a J50 1950's Case will set you back at least $300...

In the early 1950's, some Gibson guitars were not given serial numbers. This is one of those.... We are dating this guitar from the Factory Order Number stamped on the neck heel inside the guitar. Starting with a Z indicates a 1952. See pic 14... It does have the Gibson J50 stamp also inside the sound hole. See pic 13...

Here is some info on these cool Gibson Guitars...

After a brief appearance in 1942, the J-50 was reintroduced in 1947. The J-50 is essentially the same guitar as the iconic J-45 but with a natural instead of sunburst finish. As such, the changes in specifications between the two models have been more or less identical through their history.
Years of Production: 1942, 1947 - 1982, 1984 - present
Body Style: Dreadnought
Wood Composition: Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, Spruce top
Notable Players: John Hiatt, Brad Paisley, Bob Dylan

The neck has not been reset as it doesn’t need it. It plays with great easy playing action. The guitar is a 9 out of a 10 scale in playability and looks. This all beautiful Spruce top guitar has dings and scratches as you can see. It has a couple small areas of buckle rash on the back...see pic 4.  Great looking guitar ... It looks Great!! The Pickguard shows no sign of lifting...The bridge also looks rock solid with no indication of lifting either. .The original Single Line Kluson Tuners continue to work flawlessly. See pics...

To find a 1952 Gibson Flattop that has no bellying or body and side cracks is quite a thrill for me. We all know that's what Gibson players and collectors look for. This one qualifies...I have a reasonable Buy it Now for this Classic J50. Grab it before its gone...

You will love the sound of this Gibson. Very bright with booming bass that Vintage Gibson Guitars are known for. You will love this guitar.

Check out the pics of the original Case. As beautiful as the guitar. All latches, hinges, handle and accessory box are still with this beauty. A very expensive case if you had to go buy one on the open market. I was pleased to have the original to offer to my customers!

This guitar is being sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been handpicking my customers guitars for over 20 years now and they have all loved the guitars I found them. This cool Gibson will not be an exception. Any questions will be quickly answered and I am happy to discuss the guitar over the phone for an in-hand demo if you would like.

Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
