Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...
A really nice 1962 Gibson C-1 Classical Guitar. It sounds great, Made in Kalamazoo MI USA, and comes with the shown original Softshell Case …
This is a very nice guitar. I cleaned it up and restrung it with new strings ..As you can see, this one was loved and played a lot! No damage, just player wear… It has awesome finish crazing to show the vintage finish… No fret wear that I can see and only wear around the sound hole…there is some stain on the back of the headstock over the serial number. Not sure why that is but the number matchs the serial number on the label inside the sound hole. No funny business ...check those pics....... The original Ebony nut has a crack on the low E but still operates as it should… The instrument has nice low playing action. It plays great and its LOUD!!
Heres some info I found on the features of this cool Classical Guitar...
The Gibson C-1 was one of a series of classical guitars Gibson introduced in the '50s and '60s. This guitar used Mahogany for its back and sides with a tortoiseshell pickguard and Rosewood fingerboard. Gibson nylon-string guitars are not nearly as collectible as their steel-string counterparts
Years of Production: 1957 - 1971
Wood Composition: Mahogany back and sides, Spruce top, Rosewood fingerboard
Design Elements: Slotted headstock, tortoiseshell pickguard, ebony nut, unbound back
It has the original Ebony nut, bridge and tuners. The nut measures a full 2 inches and it has a zero fret. The open headstock is very cool. The Gibson Headstock logo is still in great shape. The serial number Gibson stamped into the back of the headstock is clearly Gibson as is the inside the soundhole label. It has a 25.5 inch scale neck. A great guitar!
The original Gibson Softshell case is just as nice as the guitar. All latches, hinges and original handle are still with it and operating properly. No musty smells. Just a really nice case for your cool Gibson Guitar!
Sold as-is no returns as its used. However, I have been handpicking vintage guitars for my customers for over 18 years now. They all love the instruments I found them…This cool Gibson Guitar will certainly not be an exception...
Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
