1968 Ibanez Model 1453 Jazz Guitar ES175 Pro Setup Seymour Duncan Pickups Hard Case

Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..

A really cool really early 1968 Made in Japan Ibanez Model 1453 ES175 Style guitar. These guitars were way ahead of their time and of course directed their sales efforts to the Gibson Players that couldn’t afford a real ES175. They did a great job…wonderful guitars!

This guitar came from my finder in VA that had two of these Made in Japan Jazz Big Box Guitars. They were owned by a Jazz Player and definitely loved by him…. No Cracks or body breaks. The guitar was well cared for..

My Ibanez Expert told me this is a Pre Lawsuit Ibanez from 1968. It is a Model 1453 which ultimately became the Ibanez 2355. Both ES 175 Style Models. This one has the zero fret which dates it early as well as the fret markers stopping at the 17th fret. No internal stampings in the sound holes. What a beautiful guitar!

The guitar is all original except for the Pickups. The original owner replaced the original Ibanez Humbuckers with an amazing pair of 1990’s Seymour Duncan Dog Ear P90’s. They are marked 1 NJ and P90 2N… see pics 6 and 7…They are incredible sounding pickups. Very toneful and lively…. A fantastic replacement pickup pair for this guitar.

This Laminated Maple Jazz Box plays as good as it looks. Very little player wear on this one. We had it Professionally setup with new 10’s and it has great awesome low playing action that very easy on the fingers. The knobs, Tailpiece, bridge and wiring are original. This is a really cool guitar. The body is 41 inches long and the width is 16 inches... The depth is 3 1/2 inches and the nut measures 1 5/8 inch...it has a 24 3/4 inch scale neck... normal dings and scratches you would expect for a guitar that's 50 years old...but looks great!

The original case is still protecting this cool guitar. Yes, it is used but the hard shell case is still all together and has the original handle, latches and hinges. It will continue to protect your cool Ibanez Jazz Guitar for many many years. Check those pics!

Sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used, however, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for over 18 years now and they have all loved the instruments I found for them. This cool 1968 Ibanez Jazz guitar will certainly not be an exception.

Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
