An Uber Rare 1968 Dual DeArmond Pickup Silvertone Model 1453 Rebel .. The pickups are dated Oct 9, 1968. What a cool and clean guitar!

Our Techs did a great job setting this one up..it has awesome easy playing low action..the original fully adjustable bridge works great ... All original on this beauty...Knobs, switches, tuners, whammy and whammy bar, truss rod cover, pickguard...et all!! This one even has the original Soft Shell Case...Check those pics!!

Everything works as it should..lets see....oh, and it sounds awesome!!

Heres what a cool Silvertone Website has to say about these cool guitars..

Silvertone 1453 Rebel ROUSER!

The 1453 was the Silvertone cousin of the 2-pickup Harmony Rebel, a Rickenbacker look-alike, certainly meant to fill that "I wanna look like John Lennon/Pete Townshend" desire some players must have had.

The 1453 actually looked a lot more like a Rick than the Harmony Rebel (available from 1967-71) did. The Rebel (see pics on bottom row) had sliders instead of knobs.

Introduced: 1968(?)

Retired: Seen as late as 1972

This guitar is super clean. Check out those pics. The frets look hardly used and there isn't any wear at all on the beautiful DeArmond Silver Foil Pickups. Some dings and wear places. There is some dents around the tuners on the headstock...see pics...

I love the Redburst Color. These Silvertones were like the Harmony Rebels only with switches instead of the slider knobs that always broke..I think these look like a Rickenbacker...don't you? These are really cool.

This guitar sounds stupid good...the DeArmond Pickups are Hot, hot, hot....the neck feels great and it has easy playing great action ...plenty of room to raise or lower a little the great action ...new 10 guage Strings so you are ready to gig with this one....

Ships in the shown Original Softshell Case. Fits the guitar great and all latches, hinges and original handle are still with this one...Only the accessory box lid is missing... the rear latch is a little bent but still seems to work...at times....

Now this guitar is uber cool but old and vintage so it is sold as-is no returns ... However, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for them for over 20 years now and they all loved the instruments I found for them... this one will certainly not be an exception!

Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
