Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting…
A really cool 1974 Made in Japan Model 2368 Thinline Tele style guitar called the Kopy Kat… Gee, hard to understand why they called it that! LOL….
These cool guitars were made in the Fujigen Factory. They were imported into the USA by Pacific Importers. How do we know its an authentic Kopy Kat? Check out the cool Logo on the back of the headstock. How cool is that!!
This guitar is all original with the exception of the bridge pickup. It was missing in action. We added a True Custom Shop Vintage Sound ’52 Tele Pickup which matches up really well with the original Maxon Neck Pickup. They sound great together. Everything else is original. We had our Techs set the guitar up with awesome low playing action. It not only looks great but sounds and plays great as well.
There were many Kopy Kat guitars and appear in a 1975 Catalog. They featured all the Gibson and Fender Popular models of the day and even mentioned them by name. Can I hear Lawsuit from anyone??
The guitar looks really cool but its not perfect. Small dings and such on it but all superficial. The neck is nice and straight and it plays with no fret outs. Really cool look from this Semi Hollow body Thinline. The nut measures 1 9/16ths inch, it has a 24 ½ inch scale neck, and it only weighs just over 7 lbs.
Ships in the shown brand new Hard Shell Case. Great home for this cool vintage guitar.
Its beautiful and cool but sold as-is no returns as its used and vintage. However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for close to 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found them. This cool Kopy Kat will certainly not be an exception.
Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
