Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..
A beautiful, 2003 Plummer Acoustic Electric Guitar with the original Ameritage Deluxe Extra Heavy Duty Hard Shell Case. You can’t find many Des Moines IA Made Plummer guitars out there. This one is a beauty!!
This was a one owner guitar from a Player here in Des Moines. He took very good care of his instruments. Hardly any fret wear…This guitar is in outstanding shape. Note the VW Beatle on the 12th fret. Really cool feature!
The Incredible Cedar Top, Brazillian Rosewood Back and Sides are just beautiful. A lot of fancy Marquetry and wood bindings, and it has an EBONY Fretboard! Gold Sprezel Tuners and it has a very high end RMC Preamp Pickup system installed. That’s a $700 system in this guitar! … This is the top of the line in a Plummer Guitar and it shows! Very little player wear on this beauty. Check those pics!
For those of you that are not familiar with David Plummer, he was a legend in Des Moines IA. He was a luthier here in Iowa from the 1970’s and passed away too young in 2005. He made guitars for many Nashville Players that loved his work including Jerry Reed. Plummer custom made the famous Jerry Reed a guitar he loved and played for many years. Plummer guitars still pop up occasionally, but this is the first I have seen available in long time. Certainly the first I have found in the Des Moines area. I was proud to grab it for one of my customers.
I took the old strings off and added a new set of Phosphours Bronze 12’s … It plays great with incredible low action, yes allows the new owner to either raise or even lower the action a bit if desired. It plays like butta!! The neck is dead straight until the 17th fret and it drops slightly. No dead notes and I had several Luthiers look it over and they all said leave it alone. It is a Plummer neck design that causes that and it doesn’t effect play. Just want to disclose I noted that.
Here is some info on the RMC Pickup System I found on the internet..

The Acoustic Gold for steel or nylon string acoustic guitar is a universal solution to the amplification and recording challenges every serious player must face in times of critical listening. Individual sensor saddles accommodate any string spacing over .400" and factory-matched saddle sets provide the best string-to-string evenness of any bridge pickup. The sound is sweet, clean, powerful and dynamic with minimum string noise, a great playing feel and no electrical hum or buzz, even when playing near neon lights or next to a computer monitor.
You don't have to struggle with the controls forever or buy an expensive PA system to get a decent sound. As the pro users have confirmed, his is the ultimate Plug and Play system, equally performant through an amp or sound reinforcement system. It's like playing unamplified . . . and being heard by the audience at the same time. The separate string signals provide the greatest versatility and reliability of any pickup.

Beautiful, but sold as-is no returns as its used…however, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for close to 20 years now and they love the instruments I find them. This gorgeous Plummer will certainly not be an exception to that.
Thanks for checking out our guitars!
