Today Lawman Guitars is Presenting..

An Awesome 2007 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Rosewood Telecaster! It is a Reissue of the Tele we all wanted from 1969…The George Harrison Tele he used on the Rooftop and Let it be Album…I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to get my hands on one of those! Big bucks for the 1969 and 1970’s but this one is awesome and costs much less!!  Comes complete with the Custom Shop Designated Hardshell Case and all the desired Case Candy and Certificate of Authenticity when sold as new in 2007.

This is a one owner Professionally played guitar from Brandon Darner of Envy Corps here in Des Moines IA. He played it in a few shows but it didn’t get a lot of wear.He played it in a few shows but it didn’t get a lot of wear. It has some minor dings, scratches and and a bang on the back of the neck, see pic 15... but all player wear you would expect from a used guitar that was on the road some … Looks incredible…

The guitar is solid Rosewood and is chambered to lessen the weight. It weighs 8 lbs 6 ozs and would weigh a lot more without the chambering. Its two pieces of Rosewood with a Maple spacer between them. Beautiful color and the neck is just awesome. I love the feel of the solid Rosewood neck. The pickups are incredible. The neck pickup is more toneful than most Tele’s I have played. Wanna play Get Back like George Harrison? You got it here!!

Heres some info on these cool Fender Tele guitars…

In the late ’60s, Fender built several instruments made entirely from beautiful hand-selected rosewood. These instruments were not built for long, and are highly collectible on the vintage market now. George Harrison of the Beatles used one of the original Rosewood Tele guitars on Let It Be, and for the infamous concert on the roof of Apple Records in the movie…

The original Rosewood Telecaster was built as a prototype for George Harrison in 1968, and was entered into regular production in 1969. With some variation in the body composition, the Rosewood Tele was only produced until 1972. The model has since been reissued by Fender Japan starting in the '80s and more recently by the Fender Custom Shop in 2007. The Custom Shop reissue was based on the earliest release of the Rosewood Telecaster.

Years of Production: 1969 - 1972, 1980s - 1994, 2007

Body Style: Single cutaway solidbody

Wood Composition: Rosewood body, Maple neck, Maple fingerboard

Design Elements:  Two single-coil pickups, black pickguard, dot inlays, Volume and Tone controls, 25 1/2-inch scale length

Notable Players: George Harrison, Steve Cooper

The Rosewood Tele guitar was played almost exclusively by Harrison in the Get Back recording sessions and was chosen by him to play the rooftop final performance on January 30, 1969. This performance was the film's final climax---the band's celebrated final live public performance atop Apple's roof. The group played 'Get Back', 'Don't Let Me Down', 'I've Got A Feeling', 'The One After 909' and 'Dig A Pony'. The next day, another performance was staged, this time in the Apple basement studio. With the cameras rolling, they performed and recorded 'The Long And Winding Road', and 'Let It Be', with Harrison using his Rosewood Telecaster. Shortly thereafter, the band would go their separate ways forever. By the end of 1969, each of the Beatles had designs on solo projects and began their own respective journeys to that end.

This guitar plays and sounds fantastic. I played it for about an hour in my shop before deciding to take it. I love playing it.. What a player. Excellent action and the neck is dead straight. Plays like a dream. Very very cool sounds coaxed from this beautiful guitar.

Lets talk about the CASE CANDY…it comes with all still sealed in the Fender plastic pouch. It also has the Certificate of Authenticity….WOW…this guitar has it all. Check out the pics..

Comes with the White "Limited Edition" “Custom Shop” Fender case, with all the case candy and COA. This case is as nice as the guitar. Excellent condition.

Sold as-is as its used, however, I have been handpicking vintage guitars for my customers for over 20 years now and they have all loved them. This cool Rosewood Tele will certainly not be an exception.

Thanks for checking out our cool vintage guitars.
