Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..
A mint… 2018 Gibson ES335 63’ Reissue Varitone with Bigsby. This beauty comes complete with the original Black Gibson Case and all the case candy extras. What a great guitar!!
This guitar was traded into a shop after just receiving it from the Memphis Gibson Factory. We all have our reasons to trade in guitars, but it must have been a good one to let this awesome Gibson guitar go.
This is the guitar I lusted after when I was 11 years old. The Gibson 1963 335 in Cherry Red. This creation from the Gibson shop is slightly relic’d and even includes the Custom Made plaque that were used to cover the stop bar holes in the originals. It looks awesome…
As good as it looks, it plays and sounds even better. It was checked into a respected shop to check it out and set it up. It plays like you would expect and the Gibson Humbuckers bark like you want them to. I have never been a big fan of the varitone feature, but it does give the guitar 5 distinct sounds. The originals only worked if the guitar was played in the stereo mode. Most players mod’d there stereo guitars to mono to defeat that. Gibson, wisely, only has this model set up in mono. I’m happy to report!
The guitar weighs in at 8 lbs 12 ozs. The nut measures 1 11/16 inch and the guitar has a 24 3/4 inch scale neck.
Here are the features of this awesome guitar…
Gibson 63’ RI Custom Featured Limited Run
Although the ES-335 kicked off with the dot neck in 1958, many players have always preferred the small block neck version of the mid 1960s.
This beautifully re-created 1963 ES-335TDC Varitone Bigsby includes the correct body shape with narrower horns, and a dark rosewood fingerboard with rolled binding for a soft playing feel.
Showcasing the rarest custom order options of the era like a factory installed Bigsby B-7 Tremolo with Custom Made plate, and a Mono Varitone, this one is sure to standout.
The MTC Premiere control assembly paired with MHS PAF-style Humbucking pickups ensures that this one sounds as unique as it looks. Available in Sixties Cherry VOS finish.

1963 ES-335 Varitone Bigsby
The guitar wouldn’t be complete without the Deluxe Gibson Hardshell Case. Interior of Gold Plush, it looks like it should! I was excited to see what was in the case accessory box and was not disappointed! Complete with the Gibson Certification of Authenticity Folder, Gibson branded Leather strap that was never installed, Gibson branded tool set, and the un-opened warranty booklet and whatever else Gibson ships with these guitars. I didn’t open it up. I’ll leave that to the new owner.
This guitar is in incredible shape. I never list guitars as mint, but take a look at the frets on this guitar. It can’t have more than a couple hours on them. The guitar would have had more play if it hung in the dealer shop. It’s a beauty!
Its used, so its sold as is no returns..However, check it out…I have been hand picking my customers instruments for over 20 years now. They all loved the guitars I found them. Do you really think this beautiful Gibson will be an exception? I think not!
Thanks for checking out all our cool guitar.
